SCHOOL SHOWS

One World is the largest multi-cultural arts-in-education outreach in Austin and has served more than a million children since its inception in 1993. FIELD TRIPS

Using live theatre as a catalyst to motivate youngsters to read, One World inspires young readers in our “Storybooks Brought to Life” field trip program.  The theatre experience is longer lasting and more meaningful when youngsters are engaged in dialog; therefore, One World provides study guides incorporating show related activities that encompass language arts, geography, science and more!   Tickets to our kids programs are discounted to make them accessible for local schools, and also provided at no cost to our social service partners.

CAMP ONE WORLD

In just one week, campers go from auditions to opening night as they step on stage for a public performance as graduates of Camp One World! Led by national touring company, Missoula Children’s Theatre (link to www.mctinc.org), participants learn how to produce musical theatre from the inside out. Participants not only learn their roles, but are exposed to music, instrument building and art forms of diverse cultures from around the world, while they gain confidence in their ability to perform for family and friends on the One World Theatre stage!

Through our Military Scholarship Program, “A World Apart, A Moment Together” One World is able to allow our enlisted service men and women currently overseas to view their children as they perform on stage during Camp One World. After the performance, each family has a private moment to speak face to face with their deployed loved one. We feel fortunate to be able to give back to our men and women in the armed forces by providing a program which keeps their families connected in their time of separation.
